Hi, I'm Terry! I'm one of the teachers at English Garden.

I will start updating this blog weekly, and posting the handouts that I use in class.

Last week, we talked about summer. Okinawa summers are very hot and humid!
I also sweat a lot, and that's very uncomfortable.
People don't want to get tanned, so they avoid the sun, or they put on sunscreen.

Even though I said I didn't like summer, I'm starting to understand the appeal of summer.
Recently I'm really into swimming at the beach.
It's so relaxing, and I feel so refreshed afterwards.
I guess you can't understand unless you try.

In intermediate class, we also talked about the eclipse.
Many people said they were not impressed (or, the eclipse wasn't impressive)
It wasn't as dark as I expected.
It wasn't as impressive as I expected.
I didn't want to go out of their way to see the eclipse.
